Construction portable toilet hire

For construction portable toilet hire, tell suppliers how many people work on site, whether you need warm-water washing, and how often the units need servicing. Quotes should include delivery, collection and the visits in between.

Include washing and servicing in the price

HSE says construction sites need adequate toilets and suitable washing. Portable chemical toilets can be used where flushing toilets are not possible; hand sanitiser and a small sink alone may be inadequate without other suitable washing nearby.

Unit options

Choose the units you want priced

Standard site toilets

Single cabins are useful for changing or small sites. Confirm the handwashing arrangement; sanitiser alone may not be enough.

Self-contained welfare units

A combined toilet and wash setup may suit sites without a nearby building or mains connection.

Longer hire and extensions

Ask for the service frequency, consumables and extension terms on the quote.

Questions

Questions about this hire

How many toilets do we need on a building site?

It depends on workforce size, working hours, servicing and existing facilities. HSE cites one chemical toilet per seven people working a 40-hour week as a guide where units are emptied weekly. The supplier must confirm the provision for your site.

Can we extend a long construction hire?

Yes. Ask for an extension through the booking so the supplier can confirm availability, service visits and a revised price.

Is hand sanitiser enough?

Usually not by itself for construction welfare. Tell suppliers whether suitable warm-water washing already exists on site.

Supplier checks

Suppliers will need approval before they can quote.

We intend to check trading details, equipment and servicing capability before a firm joins. We will review complaints against booking evidence, with serious or repeated failures carrying a risk of removal.
